Montessori Expectations

Student Expectations

All students at Montessori Academy No. 53 must adhere to our uniform policy each school day.

Students and parents must follow the expectations outlined in our student-parent compact and in accordance with the RCSD Code of Conduct.

During the school year, your child's class may plan a field trip to explore and learn within the Rochester community. Families are asked to ensure they provide back and needed documentation for their child to participate in these opportunities. More information is available by visiting our field trip page.

Visitation

  • Parents are welcome to visit their child’s Montessori classroom with expressed arrangement with the classroom teacher.
  • Please make sure that you’re wearing a Visitor’s Badge at all times.
     

Celebrations with Food

We LOVE when students want to celebrate their birthday with their friends at school. If you want to enhance the celebration by bringing food, NO NUTS PLEASE. Also, the celebration must take place after the child’s lunchtime, not to interfere with the lunch program. Contact your child’s teacher for more information.

Early Dismissal (Before 1:30 PM)

  • Pick-up from the Main Office on Congress Ave
  • Students are called to the office AFTER the parent/guardian arrives.
  • Students must be signed out.

Scheduled Pick-up at Dismissal (2 pm)

  • Parents must call the school BEFORE 1:30 pm, or the child may be placed on the bus.
  • Pick up at Exit 9 (on Post Ave)
  • Students need to be signed out.
